28 January 2022

The President of the United States of America

The Senate Majority Leader

The House of Representatives Speaker

The Senior Senator for Georgia

The Junior Senator for Georgia

The Second District Representative for Georgia

Greetings Most Honorable Duly Elected Leaders,

Again I write.  Mister President, Stop The Border Crisis!!  Each of the other addees of this letter, from my point of view, are guilty of complicity.  Complicity as a noun means - the state of being involved with others in an illegal activity or wrongdoing.

I realize that this sounds harsh, but you all are really “bullying” the citizens of the United States of America for the sole purpose of “getting” what You Desire/Want!!  This is shameful.  I am enclosing a booklet entitled “The Bully” for you to read, mark and learn from.  The booklet may appear childish to you, however I consider myself the victim of your “Bullying!”  I know I deserve better and I also feel that “We the People” deserve better!

I am shocked to ascertain from my news feed that You, Mr. President, are ignoring the laws of this USA and transporting illegal border crossers to various sections of our Country in the cover of the Night.  Now before you commence doing this in daylight, please be aware that no matter what time of day these activities are completed that they are not in the best interest of our National Security.

This is a portion of a letter that I sent to My Siblings the other day:

“Viewing the World News has become a real challenge in recent weeks as well as our Nation’s Border Crisis.  Not to be political, but we all know what needs to be done by the Government of our Nation!  You can be confident that I, in my daily prayers keep our leaders in mind and I also know that God is in Charge and God’s plan will be executed!!”

Please recall what I stated in my 21 December 2021 letter to you:  “You may have noted that I have not included Our Vice President in this letter.  I know that she has plenty to be concerned about in as much as she is in Charge of the Southwest Border.”

Therefore as I conclude this letter to you, Please give our Vice President the resources she needs at this Time of Crisis.

I also realize that You each are very concerned about Russia and Ukraine as well as China and Taiwan.  Then add to this the North Korea and Iran developments of the last few days and you have plenty to be concerned about to “Protect the Citizens of the USA!”

Then the additional concern of the “Safety of All of Us here in the USA” as we daily learn of the killings our Fellow Americans who are sworn to protect us all!  Then the killings of Children who are often caught in the crossfire!

Not a nice situation, but the self-centered focus of the liberals among us have caused many in Leadership Roles to be led astray.  Please keep as your only focus the “Well Being of the Citizens of the USA!”  Please keep our Nation safe and a “Republic” and not a Socialist Country much like what “Venezuela” is today.

You have much to do, but most of the task require that You Use Common Sense!  As students of our USA History please do not fall victim to correcting the errors of the past, but acknowledge that we were not perfect then, but we must strive for a more perfect union as we engage in “Making America Safe” as our Founding Fathers envisioned when they signed our “Constitution” on 17 September 1787.  In my research on this unique document I learned that thirty had served on active military duty, therefore they had a genuine concern on the future of this, their New Nation.  I trust that each of You also feel the same!!

Thank You,

Alan F. E Thiese

President Joseph R. Biden Jr.

The White House

1600 Pennsylvania Avenue Northwest

Washington, District of Columbia  20500

Dear Mr. President,

I write today because like You I am very concerned about our USA.  Attached please find My concerns as I addressed them yesterday to my duly elected Senators and My Representative for Georgia.

Many of My concerns also involve the actions you have taken since you were installed as our President.

Yet when I watch Jen give the Press Briefings I realize that she must be smoking something because the comments just do not fit what is needed for “We the People!’  What a shame that she can not communicate better.  We do not need an economic crisis and that is what I think we are approaching if we continue the excessive spending that our Federal Government is now doing.  I look to you as our President to reign on our Congress (both houses) so that we can continue to be the respected world leader.  If we continue to placate The Communist who control China we will soon be History.  You and I do not need that for our own dear children or even our Grand Children.  From My point of view I look to you as the only person with the authority to resolve our problems.  As you know Congress is not operating with the focus of what is good for the USA.  They appear to me to be focused on what is good for themselves and that is a shame.

I Know this is a short letter, but if you review the attachment and continue to strive for what is good for all citizens of the USA will delay the time in the future, if we continue on our current course, where we will have to refer to our fellow people in the USA as “Comrade.”  I sincerely hope and also pray that you as a dedicated “Roman Catholic” believer will continue to conduct our USA’s business for the good of all of us.

While I take this opportunity to Wish You and Dr. Jill a Very Blessed Christmas however I know that this letter will be screened, as it should be for any bad stuff such as anthrax at a warehouse in Hyattsville, Maryland so it will be delivered to you safely well after Christmas.

Therefore, I wish You and the First Family a Very Prosperous 2022 and urge you to also Lead us in an appropriate manner so we the citizens of the United States of America may also enjoy a prosperous 2022.

Thank You,

Not All That Green

Is burying windmill blades that are used for green energy which have become worn out really effective?  Because these blades need to be disposed of and there is presently no way to recycle them.

That’s how green energy works! Who knew? Maybe the people that make them knew. Why, would they let the cat out of the bag? After all, they are government subsidized with taxpayer money. It’s all about the money. Also, politicians do not want those huge eyesores in their backyards.

Right now the average wind farm is about 150 turbines. Each wind turbine needs 80 gallons of oil as a lubricant, and we’re not talking about vegetable oil. This is PAO synthetic oil based on crude… 12,000 gallons of it. That oil needs to be replaced once a year. It is estimated that a little over 3,800 turbines would be needed to power a city the size of New York. That’s 304,000 gallons of refined oil just for one large city. Now you have to calculate every city across the nation, large and small, to find the grand total of yearly oil consumption from “clean energy.”

Where do you think all that oil is coming from? Well, thanks to President Biden, it now comes from our enemies in the Mideast. Not to mention the fact that the large equipment needed to build these wind farms run on petroleum, as well as the equipment required for installation, service, maintenance, and eventual removal.

And just how friendly is wind energy anyway? Each turbine requires a footprint of 1.5 acres. So, a wind farm of 150 turbines needs 225 acres. In order to power a city the size of New York you would need 57,000 acres, and who knows the astronomical amount of land needed to power the entire United States. All of which would have to be clear-cut land because trees create a barrier and turbulence that interferes with the 20 mph sustained wind velocity necessary for the turbine to operate properly. Also keep in mind that not all states are suitable for such sustained winds. And, cutting down all those trees is going to really anger a lot of people.

Now lets talk about disposal of inoperable wind turbines. The life span of a modern, top quality, highly efficient wind turbine is 20 years. After that, then what? What happens to those gigantic fiber composite blades? They cannot economically be reused, refurbished, reduced, repurposed, or recycled. Guess what? It’s off to the landfills they go.

And guess what else? They’re already running out of these special landfill spaces for these blades that have already exceeded their usefulness. Those blades are anywhere from 120 ft. to over 200 ft. long and there are three of these blades per turbine. And that is only with 7% of the nation currently being supplied with wind energy. Imagine if we had the other 93% of the nation on the wind grid. 20 years from now you’d have all those unusable blades with no place to dispose of them… then, 20 years after that, and 20 years after that, etc.

Hello, just how green is that? Isn’t it wonderful how wind energy people are looking out for the world?

And this isn’t even reflecting upon electric cars. The electric grid in this country can’t even handle the use of air conditioners during a heat wave and they’re going to be able to handle the daily charging of everyone’s electric car?

And what happens to the inoperable used batteries that can’t be recycled or put into landfills because of the chemicals in the batteries? No one ever mentions that.

Ah, green energy is such a wonderful thing.

Garden Stroll

Thus far this Year I have been conducting the Garden Strolls on the First Day of each Month.  Today is an exception.  The flowers were lovely looking and the Morning was overcast so no shadows.  Sometimes I also use the Flash option to acquire a better picture.

Enjoy the Pictures.

Memories

"Two Great Kids"

Today, 19 February 2022 as I observe 82 Years on this Planet I was viewing pictures from the Shoe Box.  These were taken in the 1980s when Our Sons were much younger.

Of course I also saw this picture from My 35th Birthday when I was initiated as a Chief Petty Officer in our U. S. Navy.  Here is a picture as I was singing Anchors Aweigh.

Of course as you can tell I am holding the lyrics and I sang all three verses!

Anchors Aweigh

Stand Navy out to sea, fight our battle cry!
We'll never change our course so vicious foes steer shy-y-y-y!
Roll out the TNT, anchors aweigh!
Sail on to victory, and sink their bones to Davy Jones, hooray!

Anchors Aweigh, my boys, Anchors Aweigh!
Farewell to Foreign Shores, we sail at break of day-ay-ay-ay;
Through our last night ashore, drink to the foam,
Until we meet once more, here's wishing you a happy voyage home!

Blue of the mighty deep, Gold of God's great sun;
Let these our colors be, Till All of time be done-n-n-ne;
On seven seas we learn, Navy's stern call:
Faith, courage, service true, With honor over, honor over all.

Garden Stroll

Today we feature Helleborus commonly known as "Lenten Roses!"

This is what I found for "Helleborus Niger" quoted from the Missouri Botanical Garden Website:

"Best grown in moist, organically rich, humusy, neutral to alkaline, well-drained soils in part shade to full shade. Prefers light to moderate shade. Locate plants in sheltered locations in areas protected from cold winter winds. Plants usually take several years to establish. Clumps may be divided for propagation, but clumps never require division and will form and grow best when left undisturbed. Plants may self-seed in optimum growing conditions. This species is considered to be more difficult to grow than the similar but later blooming Helleborus orientalis."

 Alan

20 December 2021

Greetings,

Not knowing what the balance of 2021 has planned for me I will note that this is My last Sibling Letter of 2021.  That stated, I will reaffirm what I stated in the Christmas Card to You, Wishing You a Very Blessed Christmas.  A Prosperous 2022 also.

In recent days we have received adequate rain so we are not now suffering from a prolonged dry spell.  The days have been relatively nice with cool evenings.  I think we had one or two mornings when it was 32 degrees.  You may consider a warm spell if this happened in the Holy Land.  Now you know why I chose to live in Georgia.  Thinking ahead to New Year’s Eve 2021 I just realized that it will be forty years since I transferred to the U. S. Navy Fleet Reserve and thirty years since I was placed on the Official U. S. Navy Retired List.  So Much for History!!

As I reflect on the year past – 2021 I realize that the highpoint was the opportunity to be in Fellowship with My Siblings during our September Trip to the Holy Land.  Sure we saw a lot of sights, but the most critical aspect or should I state, the most rewarding aspect was the Fellowship!

I suspect that I am reminded of this because at the current time our Adult Bible Class at Church is studying the Book of Acts and the New Church or should I say the New Congregation that started.  The most important aspect of this New Group of believers was their “Fellowship” which enabled them to support each other and also grow the Church.  What I recently learned is the fact that they did not expand their outreach for the first eight years.  They supported each other and only then did they reach outside of the area to commence “Mission” work.

So here we are about two thousand years later and we continue to reach outside of the areas wherein we reside!

As I finalize this letter I frequently look out the window and see the Red Birds enjoying the food I just place in the feeder an hour ago.  They and the other birds that frequent our feeder consume about a pint of seed each day.  No grief, because they are so interesting to watch as they conduct their affairs.

As I anticipate 2022 I am sure that I will face unknown, at this time, challenges that I will live through only by the Grace and Love of My Savior.  I conclude this December Sibling Letter with that thought not only for Myself, but for You and Your respective Families also!

Sibling,

Duty, Honor

and Country!!!

Today I shared My concerns with My Georgia Senators and My U. S. Congressman. Read to the end to appreciate the title of this Blog Post!!!

Alan Thiese

15 December 2021

This letter for:

Georgia Senators Raphael G. Warnock and Jon Ossoff

Representative for the Second District Sanford D. Bishop Jr.

Greetings Honorable Gentlemen Elected to represent the Citizens of Georgia, United States of America,

You may be wondering why I addressed you each as I just did.  From time to time as I observe and even read about the actions of our U. S. Senate and the House of Representatives I have to wonder who are these vaulted organizations representing!

To be frank, sometimes I get the impression that our Duly Elected Leaders at the U. S. Capital are serving the purposes of our enemies. Sometimes our current occupant of the fine Home we all own at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue also causes me the same concern, however that will be the focus of another letter that I will compose soon.

Today, I will focus on our Senate and the House.  What are you doing to help the Citizens of our United States of America?

Just yesterday I renewed My Natural Gas account for the immediate future.  I learned that the best option for my renewal was 65 cents a therm. For 2020 it was 47 cents a therm.  A rather large increase.  I suspect that we are no longer energy independent and must rely on the global price of Natural Gas!  Why I ask.  You and I know the answer, however you appear to be sitting by and merely observing!

You and I know that fuel for our pick-ups and cars has increased a lot.  Again, Why?  You and I know.  What have you accomplished regarding this?  You may point out to me in your “canned reply” that You have worked hard to get the “Build Back Better” legislation passed and have been thwarted by your colleagues in your respective branch!  You know the ones who I identify as having “red shoe laces” while you enjoy your “blue shoe laces!”

My next concern, and you also should be acutely concerned for the Security of Our United States of America is the crisis at the Southern Border.  You know Texas and the states in between until you get to California.  Not only are illegals a threat to our Republic because of the criminal activity such as murder inflected on our Citizens as You, hopefully, have read about; but the large amount of dangerous drugs that pour through this border which have killed more of us than the Covid-19 and the resultant variants have.  I know that you are aware of this, but I am shocked that our U. S. Leaders, including You have not done anything about these drug killings.

The smash and grab activity we have all heard about and even viewed on our News!  We have become a Nation of Spineless law enforcement organizations.  I think it started when we saw the advent of “Defund the Police!”  We all know how that is working out.  I recently learned that some of the leading cities/governments that jumped on this band wagon are now reversing course.  This is now news!  It should never have happened.

Our Department of Justice now attempting to classify “Concerned Parents” who object to “Critical Race Theory” which as taught makes “White Citizens” supremacist!  You and I know that our United States of America is not perfect however I would submit to you that if we are so bad why do we have people of most countries crossing the Southern Border?  Of for that matter, many waiting to gain legal access to our Country.  Recall with me a bit of History that is often overlooked:  “Who was the President who issued the “Emancipation Proclamation?  What political party conducted a rather long filibuster in our Congress when the “Civil Rights Bill” was being debated?  You and I know these answers and I am confident that none of can be intensely proud of our accomplishments as a Society as regarding the equal treatment of us all.  Yet You and I know the root cause:  Sin!!  As a Member of the Clergy, Senator Warnock I am confident you can agree with me.

Our Country’s Record concerning Abortion!  A real hot button issue.  As a Society we have again also done rather poorly.  The unborn appear to have no rights!  Yet again, all Clergy should support the rights of the unborn, and also those who are of the Jewish Faith.  From my point of view, the Holocaust was and still is no matter to be ignored or even laughed about.  Senator Ossoff should agree with me on that!!  As regards My representative from the Second District of Georgia, I suspect that Mr. Bishop will also agree with me also.me!

Today during the Advent Worship at the Church I attend we sang several songs.  The one verse that captured my attention as I sang it was:

“O, come, Desire of nations, bind in one the hearts of all mankind; Oh, bid our sad divisions cease, and be yourself our King of Peace.  Rejoice! Rejoice!  Emmanuel shall come to you, O Israel!”

I was also shocked to hear how our upper levels of Leaders are now telling us that the “Congressional Budget Office” is now incorrect as regards the real cost of the “Build Back Better” legislation that our Senate Leaders and House Leader tell us we must have to insure our economic recovery from the Covid and other related crisis!  I am wondering how our U. S. States that did not clamp down on their citizens have now a much better economic outlook than those states that were led by Governors who wore shoes with blue laces!  Just wondering.

Then the ongoing situation concerning the correct “Health Protection” actions that we all must follow to insure our respective lives.  You and I know that many consider such activity as getting shot and wearing mask is an over reaction by our current duly elected leaders to continue to maintain control over the citizens of our Country.  Yet I am also amazed and continue to be shocked to see many entering our U. S. via illegal means who do not now have to have been shot or wear a mask!  Then the stories I have heard about our government sneaking these into states in the dark hours of the night to resettle them.  Simply amazing what we are allowing our highest level/s of leadership to accomplish.  Admittedly you each have your task to accomplish, but I would also remind you that a task that should be high on your list of priorities should be to adhere to your Oath of Office:

“And I do further swear (or affirm) that, to the best of my knowledge and ability, I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States, against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion, and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter, so help me God.”

The above is really not much different that the Oath I took or reaffirmed during each reenlistment in as much as it defined my duties:

The Oath of Enlistment (for enlisted):

"I, _____, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God."

As I see it, your task is to insure the Security of all the Citizens of our Unitd States of America.  Simple enough, again from my point of view often ignored by those who we elect.

Was Nikita Khrushchev right?  You and your peers in the U. S. Senate and the U. S. House are in a unique position to insure that he was incorrect.  You have a major responsibility.  Exercise your rights and also exercise the appropriate laws to insure the security of our United States from all enemies, foreign and domestic just as we “Enlisted Members” of our Military swear to when we take the Oath or affirm the Oath when we reenlist.

Yes, a serious task, but one you sought and “We the People” elected you to perform.  Please do not let yourself, your family or Your Country (USA) down.  Your neglect in this matter has consequences as Maude Findley in the show “Maude” would say when anyone offended her and sense of Law and order and/or great values:  “God Will Get You For That!”  What you may not know that the part of “Maude” was performed by Bea Arthur born into a Jewish Family who served our Nation as U. S. Marine during World War Two and among her duties she was a Truck Driver.

I realize that this is a rather long letter, but please be confident that I sent this with great respect for each of you and trust that you will serve our United States of America to the best of Your Ability.

Again, Do not let the USA, Your Family and your fellow citizens down.  I recall with great pride the motto of the U. S. Army and stressed by General Dwight D. Eisenhower of World War Two who also Served our USA as the President.  His motto also was Duty, Honor and Country!

Sincerely,

Alan F. E. Thiese
