In addition to capturing pictures of the 2009 Spring Flower Show sponsored by The Federated Garden Clubs of Macon, Inc. the Flower Child entered five horticultural entries. Only one did not receive an award.

The Flower Child received the following awards:

Fatsia - First Place

Japanese Holly Fern - First Place

Lenten Rose (Helleborus) - First Place

Hosta (Royal Standard) - Second Place
