Memorial Day

Memorial Day is a day when we honor our Heroes.  I visited the Historic Linwood Cemetery in Macon, Georgia.  

The L A Jones Plot Marker

Several years ago I took this plot as a project.  I removed the vines and weeds.  I visited it today and detemined that I must return and remove new weeds. 

This is the Marker for Macon, Georgia's Medal of Honor Hero,  SGT Rodney Maxwell Davis who perished on 5 September 1967 as he threw himself on a live grenade to save the lives of his fellow Marines.
