The Final Holiday Day
As we returned from our 2012 Holiday we decided that we would visit "Gibbs Gardens" near Ball Ground, Georgia. We left I-75 in Cartersville, Georgia and traveled East. No problem, until we entered Gibbs Gardens. There was a neat sign that proclaimed that the Gardens are open Wednesday through Sunday. We were there on a Tuesday. In as much as we had traveled to the Gardens I was determined to get a few pictures, which I share below.
After departing the Gardens we decided we would have a wonderful lunch in Griffin, Georgia. We have always enjoyed the food at Manhattans on the North Side of Griffin so we proceeded through Atlanta desiring to avoid the afternoon rush and traveled South on U. S. Highway 41. Upon our arrival at Manhattans we observed a "Closed - For Lease" Sign. Our plans for the last day of our travels home were marred by two sites being closed, but we still had the fond memories of our 2012 Holiday.
