Relay for Life Fund Raiser

This is the Vineville Academy Staff Softball team that played an exhibition game on Saturday, April 7th at the Bibb County Sports Complex as part of a Fund Raiser for the 2007 Relay for Life. Eleven Spirited Players.
This is the Sonny Carter Elementary School Staff that played Vineville Academy. The game was advertised as a six inning event, however by mutual agreement a seventh inning was also played. The Sonny Carter Staff consisted of thirteen spirited players. After the official Team Photographs both teams agreed to a combined picture. Just in case you are interested, the score of this annual classic was Carter 10 and Vineville 6. The author of this Blog, The Flower Child feels that this game is not an official sanctioned event because our National Anthem was not performed and we all know that is the official start of any legal Softball or Baseball game.
One of the dignitaries in attendance at this classic event was the Principal of Vineville Academy, Ms. Winters, shown here with a Staff member and her family.
