Haste Makes Waste
The Flower Child is confident that everyone has heard the old adage "Haste Makes Waste." The question I pose today is did the Citizens of the United States of America overlook the merits of John Edwards as a Presidential Candidate in an effort to make history?
We now have two minority Democrats struggling to become the "first" as the Parties Candidate to be considered in November by all the Citizens of the United States of America, as they vote for who will be the next President of the United States of America.
Did the Democrats in an effort to make a choice execute their votes in a hasty manner? Did they want to become the Party that broke the barriers, so to speak? One thing is for certain, John Edwards was well known and everyone knew what he stood for. During the last campaign for President, Mr. Edwards was on the Democrat Party Ticket to serve as Vice President. He certainly was exposed and explored by the media. In the current situation, the Democrats have two candidates who are garnering a lot of media attention as they struggle to achieve the Nomination. Each is in a serious quest for delegates for the 2008 Democrat National Convention.
All of this causes the Flower Child to wonder what would be going on now if the Democrats had rallied behind Candidate John Edwards? Could both parties now be focused on which Presidential Candidate would be best for America?
One thing is for certain, with John Edwards we had a better view of who the Candidate was and is. As it stands now, we have two who are promising "Change" and "the Expansion of Government" to meet the needs of voters, which may not be in the best interest of America.
It is also a truth that "Only Time Will Tell." There is great comfort in that phrase. But the major concern is, will it be too late once we are told the time?
