The Cherry Street Car Show

Shown here is but one of about three hundred automobiles/pickups that were featured on Cherry Street on Saturday, June 7, 2008 as they participated in the Third Annual Car Show. This Show is a fund raiser for Fort Hawkins which sits on Emery Highway in Macon. This Historic fort was built in the very early 1800s for defense and also served as a trading post.

If you missed all these great cars and pickups from our past mark your schedule for the Fourth Show which will most likely be held on the first full weekend of June 2009.

This "Land Yacht" as some call these large cars from our past was an entry from a local citizen. Many of the participants are from various parts of Georgia with a few from out of state.
