Susan Boyle and Carrie Prejean

April 2009 has certainly been an interesting Month.

Please permit me to share with you my views and concerns about two events which certainly allow and also assist us all to focus on what is good and decent in our World.

If you have not heard about Susan Boyle, a 47 year old British Women who entered a Talent Contest and what the Judges displayed as she approached her segment of the Talent Competition please take the time to view this:

The displayed contempt that the Judges had, quickly changed once Ms. Susan began her song. Just one example that some things do not always appear as they seem. Ms. Susan certainly gave everyone a "Wake Up" Call!!!!!

Then in the United States of America we saw a Beauty Pagaent where a young lady spoke her opinions concerning "Gay Marriage," and she has now become an icon of "Values." To view a commentary about this opinion please check out:

Miss Carrie Prejean answered a question posed by Perez Helton during the Competition for the crown in the Miss U. S. A. Contest. Miss Prejean answered the question and spoke from her heart. Many believe that she lost the title because her answer was not politically correct. I have heard an interview she did and she indicated that she knew she was doing the correct thing by stating her views.

These two recent events in our world certainly reflect well on the two participants involved. They each acted in accordance with their value system and are to be applauded and also appreciated by all citizens everywhere. Ms. Susan in Britian and Miss Prejean in the U. S. A. conducted themselves very appropriately and sincerely.

I, as the Flower Child, desire to simply point out that we do have individuals on this earth that are to be emulated as well as appreciated. Thank You Susan Boyles and Carrie Prejean.
