This Entry will focus on the Celebration and Observance of 50 Years of Marriage for Janice Marie (Brown) and Alan Frederick Ernst Thiese.  This Wedding was conducted on Saturday 7 October 1972.  The Celebration was conducted on Saturday 22 October 2022.  This is a "before" picture to show that we were ready except for getting dressed up.

However, prior to showing pictures from the Celebration a Brief History is appropriate.  

Myrtle (Long) Brown was married to James R. Brown on 10 September 1949.  This picture is most likely not from their Wedding Day, but it does show them in their youth.

Gertrude (Borcherding) L. L. Thiese was married to Ferdinand (Fredy) Otto Thiese on 3 May 1939.  Gertrude was 22 years old and Fredy was 25.  

Janice was the first born in her Family.  The date was 27 September 195l. However the date of this picture is most likely a year or two later.

Alan was the first born in his Family.  His date of birth was 19 February 1940.  However the date of this picture is also unknown.  Most likely about six months after Birth.

Their respective lives involved a lot of History, but they met in the Summer of 1972 and after a Rapid Romance they were married on 7 October 1972.

After a Three Day Honeymoon in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee they returned to Macon and started their new life together.  From their Wedding Day in 1972 through the first half of 2022 also involved a lot of History.  

Janice conducted the planning for this Celebration which was a small Family Event with Friends also included.  It should be noted here that Alan suggested that His Siblings remain in the Midwest because travel for a one-day event was considered as not efficient.  It should be noted that he communicates with his Siblings by sending a monthly letter to each of them.

The following is a brief sample of all of the pictures that were taken on October 22nd as well as some of the preparation before the Celebration.  Most are self-explanatory.  It should be noted here that Shield Hosted an intimate Family Dinner on Friday Evening at the Swanson House in Perry, Georgia.  Janice, Alan, Shield and Michael enjoyed Shield's Hospitality.  The Pit-Master for Smoking the eleven racks of ribs was Michael.

We planned ahead and on 20 October the Ribs were obtained as shown above.  

The Flower Arrangements and the other decor were designed and fabricated by My Bride, Janice Marie!!

We received Cards and Letters and all have been acknowledged. 

In Summary a Wonderful Family Focused Celebration that was conducted on the Driveway in an Informal Atmosphere.  

On 9 October We Celebrated with our Church Family during the After Worship Fellowship.

 8 November 2022 Election!

 

The Information contained here was gathered from the Secretary of State Election Results Website:

 

Registered Voters in Georgia:  6,953,485

Citizens who voted:                    3,927,876

 

Georgia Governors Race

69.27% of Howard Voters participated.  This was the best percentage in Bibb County.

 

If everyone who was a registered voter had participated in the State of Georgia the results may have been very different.  No one knows.  The insulting aspect of the Georgia Turn Out is that those among us who to choose not to participate essentially slapped the face of every Hero that has served in the Military to protect the Freedoms we all enjoy.  I would simply sum this up with this statement:  “There are Many Georgia Voters that do not have the love of Country, respect for our Heroes or appreciate the Freedoms they have!”  Certainly a Sad Situation for all of us!

 Tell Us Voters anything to Earn Votes!

Tomorrow our Nation Votes. We in Georgia also vote. Just last evening Senator/Reverend Warnock told us that he supports the little people. He supports reduced cost of Medicine and Medical Care and how he worked to help us during his past work as a Senator for and from Georgia. Sounded great. Now, fast forward to Monday, 7 November 2022. I traveled to Medical Care Provider to receive My Monthly B-12 shot to maintain My Health. I have been doing this for a considerable period of time. Upon arrival at the Provider's Office I was told there is now a Co-Pay of $10.00 for each shot because MediCare now has decided that this is an experimental procedure that they now will not cover, etc. I departed to Office without the shot. So much for the Campaign talk from Senator/Reverend Warnock. HIs statements appear to be out and out lies to me. Upon my return Home I called His Washington, D. C. Office and relayed my Concern to a member of His Staff who assured me that she would pass My Situation to the Senator/Reverend. I hope she will because this Problem/Concern will be addressed in my periodical Letter to the Senator and His Fellow Leaders in Washington, D. C. So My concern is simple: Are we hearing stuff for the sole purpose of Getting the Votes?

My Observations on the World Around Us - Specifically the USA:

We all have heard a lot about Voter Suppression here in Georgia, USA.

A recent Print Media Issue I received also has the phone numbers that Voters/Citizens can call to get rides to the polls for the November 8th Election

I think it is amazing that we here in Georgia have set a new record of Voters/Citizens who are exercising their right to vote while some complain about "Voter Suppression" here in Georgia. Some complain about having to have an ID!

I post this so that we all can appreciate the facts versus what we often see in the Electronic Media.

Interesting, yet as I review information on how to get "Help with Heating Bills" during this upcoming Winter I have noted that in order to register you Need the Following:

Valid Picture ID

Social Security Cards for All Household Members

Current Heating Bill

Proof of Income

 Time Change

It is that time once again, and it happens twice a Year. Media personnel are fretting about the time change. So Sad. Many, Many workers have been able to accept time changes. Right off, Airline People who fly and staff Airplanes. Ships that ply the oceans. From My own experience, Military Personnel who deploy to protect our USA experience time changes every time they fly or ride ships to the many places on our Earth. Yet they have the skills needed to accept. Maybe they have an attitude that they can adjust versus playing the "Victim" card every time things change. Shocking news: As a Child I enjoyed my tri-cycle. As I matured I enjoyed riding a bike. As an Adult I enjoy traveling in a Car or Pick-up. All of these because I was willing to accept change without the fretting that seems to be so commonplace today!!

In summary - Life is what one makes it to be. It is so much more pleasant when I do not allow myself to make myself a victim. Additionally I do not appreciate this semi-annual fretting about a time change. I will state here for the record that I can not accept "kale" or "collards" as food, however I do realize that there those among us that even enjoy "Chitlins!" In fact there is a town close to Macon, Georgia that recently conducted a "Chitlin Festival." They have accepted the situation and have even learned to live with it!!

Prior to Voting in the 8 November 2022 Mid-Term Elections I am suggesting that you think of the consequences of your vote.  I also realize that many of the readers here may have already voted in early voting!  However if you have not voted yet please give serious though concerning the candidates.  Do You desire to see Your and My USA look like these scenes?  The current regime has only been in office for about two years and please look at what our USA has evolved to!  We can do better.  If you have voted early, at least share this post with your Friends and Neighbors have yet to vote.  Thank You!!

Did the High Price of Diesel Fuel

No wonder we have supply chain issues!

This former store in a small town appears to have closed

 either due to lack 

Staff or Supply Chain Issues!!

Did this home owner abandon this house

because of the potential for utility

cost increases?

This appears to be an abandoned Dairy Operation!

Why was it abandoned?

Was this former home destroyed by fire and because of High Food Cost 

the occupant/s chose to buy food rather than insurance

so the house could have been re-built?

Was this former orchard abandoned for lack of

funds to purchase fertilizer because of the

restrictions on fossil fuels/natural gas?

This appears to be an abandoned poultry operation.

Why did this happen?

As stated at the start of this post, Please consider the impact of your vote!  Is this what you desire for Your Children or follow-on Generations to endure?  We can do better!  Thank You!!

Greetings Most Honorable Duly Elected Leaders,

 

Number 15!!  In a mere four weeks “We the People” will be voting for a New Congress.  I did not have to waste a postage stamp to tell you that.  However as citizen of Georgia with a valid Identification Card (ID) I can vote as early as 17 October 2022.  Now regarding my comment about an ID Card there are those among us who think that having to show an ID card to vote is “Voter Suppression” which is their right to be shackled to defective thinking.

 

As the candidates educate “We the People” I am aware that telling us lies is perfectly legal as a pointed out in my most recent letter to each of you.  Campaign literature (either in print or electronic media) is protected speech.  When I consider this fact I am often reminded of this famous comment which is often used by politicians when they speak of their opponents:

 

“You can fool all the people some of the time and some of the people all the time, but you cannot fool all the people all the time.”

 

This quote has been attributed to Abraham Lincoln, however there is no positive evidence that he actually stated this comment.  Regardless of who originated the comment it is still very germane today.

 

As “We the People” prepare to vote I know that I am concerned about the relationship of the “First Son – now the only Son, of our Commander in Chief.  Has his involvement with foreign government/s impacted the thought process of our current President, Joseph R. Biden, Jr?  You Mr. President are the only citizen on planet Earth who actually knows the answer to that question.  I feel that some of your decisions are such as that I consider them as enabling Your Son Hunter.  We all know that enabling anyone, especially your own Family Members hinders their development into responsible citizens.  I am confident that each of you in receipt of this letter have personally witnessed the impact of enabling individuals on the development of mature, responsible citizens.

 

Additionally as I consider the candidates and select who I will vote for I know that “Security” is at the top of the list.

 

·        Security from the impact of the Middle East “Oil Cartels” who essentially are restricting the Energy Availability that we need to heat or even cool our homes and places of business as well as the manufacturing organizations in our USA.

·        Security from the impact of the “Drug Cartels” which are flooding our USA with dangerous drugs.  We all know the dangers of “Candy” appearance of fentanyl which is killing our Youth.  As you can appreciate, our Youth are the future of our USA.  None of us will remain here forever!

·        Security from the consequences of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) which is currently very much involved in destroying our USA through the aforementioned “Drug Cartels.”

·        Security from the impact of the many millions of illegals who are crossing our Borders.  Much of the crime and killings are conducted by a segment of this “Illegal Population” you have allowed into our USA.

 

I find it most interesting that some cities in our USA have now begun to feel the impact of the transfer of illegals to their respective areas.  To make this perfectly clear to each of you, What You Have Allowed in the SouthWest Border States is now impacting the Cities up North.  Recent comments by the respective Mayors of Chicago and New York have been relayed to us the Media consuming public.  This is a shame and a problem for them just as it is a major problem for our fellow Citizens near the SouthWest Border!  Only it is now different??

 

While Many of You applaud the recent decision to hire 87,000 additional Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Agents and most likely equip them with weapons I know that many of us Voters (Myself included) know that you need to eliminate the program to hire additional IRS agents and instead hire 87,000 additional Law Enforcement Personnel to actually help in the reduction of crime and killings that happen on a daily basis all across the USA.  The concept of more Law Enforcement Personnel for “We the People” may be contrary to the goals of our current government; yet we here on a daily basis how many in government leadership roles are protected by the very organizations they desire to defund or even private Security Organizations.  I suspect that these “Protection People” either Public and/or Private are paid for by taxpayer funds.

 

Regarding the “Green Deal” that so many have adopted as the future of the USA, have you each considered the long term impact, as well as the short term thinking of doing all of this tomorrow.  Do we have in place the infrastructure to have all Electric Vehicles (EV) in accordance with the current time table/s you are seeking?  Yes, the “Green Deal” is an appropriate goal, but it must be executed in a responsible manner.  Then I am confident that each of you are aware of the impact on Planet Earth that you so proudly espouse as the correct rational to require more battery powered cars and even trucks in the USA!

 

I am confident that You each have Staff Personnel who are researching the impact of one vehicle battery.  This Chart may help you to develop additional wisdom in this area:

Even is one battery only requires one half of these resources which are mined from “Mother Earth” the long term impact of the potential strip mining will be forced on our future generations of citizens in many of the countries of the World.  A sad situation that to me is currently being ignored to placate some of our fellow citizens who are currently serving in the U. S. Congress.  You each know who they are.  The Conservative Media has labeled them “The Squad!”   

In closing this letter to You, I am also confident that you each can appreciate this statement:  “Peace Through Strength.”  Many of Voters (Myself Included) are aware that our Nation’s Allies in previous Wars now consider us at best a “Third World Nation!’  This is a despicable position for our USA.  Each Memorial Day and each Veteran’s Day we honor and remember those who have served our USA to allow us to have a Safe and Secure County.  We also remember those who have  given their lives for our Security.

I realize that the time for you to Serve us “We the People” to promote Security for the USA is limited.  I wish You Well.  Thank You.
