Memorial Day 2008
Middle Georgia U. S. A.
This tribute was located at the Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Shown above are the four young men who lead the Procession of Colors, played the National Anthem, played "Taps" and the other music which was "Amazing Grace." This group did a grand job.

The Sons of the American Revolution also had a Color Guard Present.

This event brought together a large cross section of citizens of Middle Georgia as displayed in this picture.

The Keynote Speaker for this event was the Honorable Jim Marshall, U. S. Congressman from Georgia. His theme was "Take Time To Thank Someone Who Is No Longer Here." He spoke of one of his fellow warriors who saved his life with the handle of "BZ." Although "BZ" is no longer in life, Congressman Marshall thanked him for his heroic actions during his speech. Please note that due to the difficult lighting situation that the picture of Congressman is in Black and White simply because my camera captured too much light from the background.

This event was very special in as much as there was a large cross section of local citizens present, from young to old, to honor our American Heroes.
