Relish Magazine Cooking School

April 28, 2011 - Dublin, Georgia

You may recall that on April 6, 2011 I posted an entry here about the Relish Magazine Cooking School.  My Bride and I were able to attend this great and also fun event last evening.  It was held at the DuBose Porter Center of the Heart of Georgia Technical College in Dublin.  We arrived early enough to garner prime seating just a few rows back of the stage.  It featured Relish Chef Jon Ashton.  Prior the the School starting all in attendance were allowed to observe a minute of silence for those who have recently lost their lives during the recent weather that has impacted the Southeastern United States.

Chef Jon kept us all in laughter during his demonstration while still keeping us all informed as to what he was preparing and and how he prepared it.

In addition to Chef Jon who was a delight to observe, he frequently called on attendees to participate in the tasting of his dishes.  Here you see him working with a 90 year old attendee who also had a very great sense of humor.  Indeed, she kept Chef Jon on his toes.

During the course of the evening Chef Jon demonstrated:

Alsatian Crustless Breakfast Tarts
Potato Cheese Soup
Salmon Burgers with Quick Soy Cumcumbers
Peanut Butter Mousse with Bruleed Bananas and Rasberry Preserve

Certainly a wonderful evening and a Cooking School well worth attending.  Thank You Dublin Courier Herald for sponsoring this event.  There were attendees from a wide area of Georgia as well as several from Florida.
