Should Bibb County Citizens Take Action?

September 14, 2006 - Is it time for the citizens of Bibb County to gather at the Macon-Bibb County Board of Assessors at 653 Second Street and protest the 2006 Assessments? Maybe we all should take a lesson from Histroy and insure our destiny, just as our Forefathers did some 234 years ago. The files at the Assessors Office currently contain inaccurate data. Should they be destroyed and the appropriate officials be charged to develop a new assessment to be used in 2007?

I was able to check out some interesting aspects of our History. The timely action of the Citizens of Boston did achieve the desired results.

Boston Citizens Finally Take Action

December 16, 1773 - In protest of the British Tax on Tea a group of Boston Citizens disguised as Indians angrily dumped large amounts of Tea off of British Ships right into the water.
