Flower Child's February Flowers

Lenten Roses (a.k.a. Helleboros) flourish in the Gardens at 128 Weatherby Drive here in Macon, Georgia. They are called Lenten Roses because they normally bloom during the season of Lent.
In addition to their refreshing Winter Beauty, the deer do not consume these flowers or the plants. They also self seed in abundance. A delightful plant that flourishes in a shaded landscape that has captured the heart of the Flower Child. Certainly a low maintenance plant.

Thanks for visiting and leaving a comment on my blog. My DH is USAF retired.
The Lenten rose is lovely. Makes me long for spring. It's snowing here today.
