National Garden Day Celebration
and
Pine Ridge Garden Club Anniversary
The Pine Ridge Garden Club celebrated their 50th Anniversary on Friday, June 6th at the Garden Club Center in Macon, Georgia. Here you see the lovely arrangement completed by several of the members and the Cake.

As part of the Celebration the Pine Ridge Garden Club of Macon, Georgia Sponsored a Flower Arranging Demonstration featuring the use of plant materials that grown in the Garden. The presentation was entitled "Bringing the Outside In." Or it could also be titled "Summer Floral Arrangements from the Garden." The arrangement shown above would be very appropriate for a large foyer/entrance way or a display on a buffet table.

Shown here is the presentor, Mr. James Farmer III of Kathleen, Georgia. He gave a delightful presentation and used materials from his own Gardens.

One of his arrangements featured this pleasant dinner table display which features hydrangeas which were in abundance the first week of June.

The Pine Ridge Garden Club of Macon, of which the Flower Child is a member, certainly celebrated their Anniversary in an appropriate manner, but they also promoted National Garden Week 2008 in an excellent manner.
