2009 Cherry Blossom Festival
Macon, Georgia

The Federated Garden Clubs of Macon, Inc. hosted three "Taste of the South" Luncheons during the 2009 Cherry Blossom Festival. Of course the final two Luncheons are scheduled for March 25 and 26. When you attend a Luncheon at the Garden Center you would expect appropriate decoration. This arrangement on a Hall Table was done by a member of the Pine Ridge Garden Club of Macon. The member just happened to be "The Flower Child."

As promised the other day, here are more images from the Cherry Blossom Festival Parade which was held on Cherry Street in downtown Macon, Georgia on Sunday, March 22nd. The above photo shows a Korean Marching Group.

Of course when you enter a float in the Cherry Blossom Festival Parade you must include the color Pink. Note all of the people, young and old on this float sporting pink T-Shirts.

Of course the local Corvette Club had their members participate in this parade. While I did not count the cars I think there were at least thirty lovely looking Corvettes in the parade. I did not see any Pink Corvettes.

In addition to the Macon Motor Cycle Police the Bibb County Sheriff got into the Parade Spirit with this green car.
A great parade and so far the weather has been cooperating with the Festival.
