Macon, Georgia
ReCycling to Commence
Once Again
After a two-year break from recycling, because of economic considerations the Mayor of Macon, Georgia recently announced that because of improved prices for scrap metal and other recyclable items, Macon, Georgia will re-establish curbside recycling.
Great news. As recently as September, Flower Child, noted while attending the 2006 Georgia State Fair that there is adequate evidence that their may be those among us who have already begun recycling. You can see by viewing the pictures posted in this blog that the downspouts for rain water run off from the Round Building in Central City Park may have already been recycled. The Flower Child is no expert on the various metals; but it would appear that the missing downspounts may have been fabricated from copper. Now, if someone other than an authorized employee of the City of Macon has removed these downspouts; we most certainly have a crime before our very eyes.
Sort of reminds me of a few years ago, when a county commissioner walked through the "Long Building" prior to the Annual Georgia State Fair and actually observed a plethora of illegal one-armed bandits resting in storage.
Has anyone observed the missing downspouts?
