"The Doctor Is In"

I was surprised to observe a recent promotion on television. It appears that the Mayor of Macon is now looking forward to a career in Medicine. It should be noted that an Obesity Seminar will be conducted on February 10th at the Centreplex in East Macon. The Mayor is promoting this activity while it appears that the City of Macon is on Fire. Sort of sounds like an event from the History of Rome when someone was fiddling while the city burned.

Please note that the Flower Child captured this image last June when The Honorable Mayor of Macon was designating Garden Week in Macon. I would encourage the City Fathers and also the Mothers to encourage the His Honor to focus on the business of the City rather than being sidetracked to the field of medicine. After all we have The Medical Center of Central Georgia and two for profit Hospitals already in operation in Macon.

The Business of the City should be the first priority for His Honor, the Mayor of Macon. While combating obesity is a noteworthy endeavor I really feel that this should be left to the Health Care Professionals.
