Guttenberg, Iowa Monument

U. S. Military Veterans

During a recent visit to my hometown, Guttenberg, Iowa I once again visited the Monument that Honors the Guttenberg Area Veterans.



 I, Alan was the first of our family to join our U. S. Navy in 1961. 

I was a YNC when I retired in 1981.

 My Brother David was a Veteran of the Tonkin Gulf Attack

in 1964.  He was an FTG 2 when he was discharged.

 My Brother John was an FTM2 when he was discharged.

David's Son, Eric was a GMG2 (Selectee) when he was discharged.
